Are lean leadership and lean thinking in your company’s DNA? Do you have the tools and training necessary to succeed with Lean Six Sigma? Is your company serious about reducing waste, variability, and uncertainty in your new product development, manufacturing, or service delivery processes? Technology Multipliers can help you.

Technology Multipliers Lean Six Sigma solutions leverage lean thinking and lean management principles which began with our initial implementations in manufacturing in the mid-eighties and expanded to high tech product development and healthcare industries since.

Benefits of our Lean Six Sigma solutions are:

  • Reduced waste
  • Streamlined process
  • Reduced variability
  • Increased quality
  • Reduced cost
  • “Win-Win-Win” for customers, staff, shareholders, suppliers, partners, and your company

How We Do It

Regardless of the industry or business process, Technology Multipliers Lean Six Sigma solutions start with lean thinking and lean leadership at the top with an enterprise view. Through our assessment workshop, we identify the current capabilities, desired capabilities, and value gaps. Through our road mapping service, we define the to-be roadmap and priorities. Through our implementation service, we apply our Lean Six Sigma methods and tools to the highest value and highest priority projects. And, through our training and change management services, we ensure that “lean leadership” turns into a commitment to continuous quality and productivity improvement and “lean thinking” becomes your management strategy (not a buzzword).

Technology Multipliers teams up with recognized experts in lean six sigma enterprise leadership to deliver assessment, training, implementation, and change management services. We focus on the three types of waste:

Reduction of Waste (Muda)

We use Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify areas of waste. We focus on the seven waste areas: waiting, inventory, transport, motion, over-processing, over-production, and defects. We, then, use process simulation to test improvement alternatives to eliminate or minimize waste. We use MS-Visio and Process Simulator in our VSM implementations.

Reduction of Variation (Mura)

We use Six Sigma methods for reduction of variation. We use the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology for projects aimed at improving an existing business process. We use the Six Sigma Methods we use the DMADV (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify) methodology for projects aimed at creating new product or process designs.  We use best-in-class analytical tools such as Process Simulator and Minitab.

Reduction of Unrealistic Performance Expectations (Muri)

Unreasonable performance expectations result in unpredictable and subpar performance. No staff member can be expected to perform work without proper training, tools, support, and breaks. No machine can be expected to operate without proper setup and preventive maintenance. And, every business process has certain level of complexity, constraints, and resource interdependencies. We focus on understanding “what is reasonable” and then creating “standardized work procedures” and “streamlined workflows” that result in reasonable performance metrics and predictable, consistent, and high quality output.
